I remember this work~ I saw it the day you posted it, and I had it on my desktop for a long time, I simply adore it~ Then I lost my dA account, and couldn't find you again, to see this work, because I forgot your username~ I love this, great work~! ☆ ♔
I look at your galerie and I was like "woah I want talent me too !" and I saw this... And just fell in love. It is so quiet, so strong, the calm after the storm ... In any case this is what it makes me feel. ^^ It's beautiful, I could contemplate it for hours.
I just saw this in the water colour article and it made me stop reading and directly come here! The subject is not beautiful at all but the way you portrayed it is. Also the details in colouring make me want to improve ^^
Yes, a beautifully rendered piece of art. But your fans and admirers may be left with a false impression of death by suicide. It is not romantic, poetic or noble in any way. Self-inflected gunshot wounds are almost never neat and tidy. Just ask the unfortunate people whose official job is must cleaning up the mess. The most depressing of thought of all are the survivors who will forever wonder the why and grapple with guilt to their own endings. Suicide is sad side of life, art should not ignore or avoid it. It should not be sugarcoated or glorified in any way.
Usually, I suppose, you see drawings of people holding the gun up to their head or just before they commit suicide but there is a grounding sense of finality in this that resonates subtly but strongly.
